TEXTILE & COSTUME BREAKDOWN

Alongside my artistic practice, I work professionally as a textile and costume breakdown artist for film and television. Breakdown involves far more than visually ageing a garment according to a script — it requires reconstructing a material biography: imagining how a textile has been used, which environments it has crossed, and how a body has moved within it, then translating duration, gesture, exposure, and repair into physical transformations of its surface.

Working across abrasion, staining, dyeing, and fibre breakdown, I collaborate closely with costume designers and art departments to build surfaces that read as genuinely worn — judgments that depend on sustained physical interaction with materials, not on visual formula alone.

Recent productions include London (dir. Sebastian Brameshuber, Berlinale 2026, Panorama — Art Director & Costume Designer), Die Blutgräfin (dir. Ulrike Ottinger), Die andere Seite (dir. M. Minoguchi), Fountain of Youth (dir. Guy Ritchie), and Woodwalkers (dir. Daniel Harper).
